The Montrose Auto Group is proud to be an active member of the communities we serve.  The following paragraphs highlight some recent and upcoming events that our dealerships and employees will participate in.

On Saturday, June 22nd the Montrose Auto Group partnered for the third consecutive year with the United States Marine Corp’s Leatherneck Nation to host the Leathernecks-Montrose Poker Run across Northeast Ohio.  Nearly 75 bikers participated in the run to benefit Valor Home of Summit County, with stops on the tour including Montrose Mazda in Kent and Montrose Ford-Lincoln in Alliance.  The 2013 Poker Run raised over $5,000 for Valor Home.

Montrose Community Relations Manager Frank Salamone is currently serving as Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce.  Appointed by the President of the Chamber and voted in by the trustees, Frank is now five months into his responsibilities serving the Tallmadge business community.  In this volunteer position, Frank assists the chamber in advancing the interests of local Tallmadge businesses and has been instrumental in the ongoing promotion of Serpentini Chevrolet of Tallmadge at various events throughout the community.

Montrose Mazda of Kent will host a Speed Networking Breakfast on Tuesday, July 23rd from 7:30am until 9:00am.  Co-sponsored by Panera Bread, the networking event will welcome business leaders from throughout the Kent community.  The Montrose Auto Group has partnered with Panera Bread to co-host breakfast networking events within each of our dealerships at least twice a year.

The bi-annual Montrose Mega Mixer at Westside Jaguar is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.  The event, co-hosted by NOCA (The Northeast Ohio Communications Advocates) draws community business leaders from throughout the region and has been nominated in the past as a Networking Event of the Year by Cleveland Business Connects Magazine.  This fall’s event will serve as a fund raiser for the non-profit organization “Dick Clough’s Tour of Good Cheer” which provides clothes for those in need.

The 2013 Montrose Kia “Buckeye Palooza” will be held on Saturday, September 28th as the Ohio State Buckeyes battle the Wisconsin Badgers in prime time.  Montrose Kia in Sheffield’s showroom will transform into Sheffield’s largest indoor-outdoor tailgate party in support of Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Lorain County.  The event will be held from 6:30 through the end of the game and feature an open bar, terrific raffles, and food catered by Harry Buffalo.

Montrose Kia in Sheffield has teamed with the Boy Scouts of America to host quarterly District Council Meetings within the showroom.  In June the Boy Scouts brought over 80 attendees to Montrose Kia, and even more are expected at their next gathering on Tuesday, August 13th.

On Sunday, September 15th Montrose Ford in Fairlawn will host the fourth annual Northeast Ohio Mustang Show benefitting Valor Home of Summit County and the Copley Fire and Rescue Association.  This heavily attended event draws Mustang enthusiasts from across the region and has become one of the premier Mustang shows in America.  Special Guest Jack Roush Jr. will be in attendance, acknowledging Montrose Ford in Fairlawn as one of the top Roush Dealerships in the world.
