Area Auto Giant Continues to Give Back to Neighboring Northeast Ohio Communities
The Montrose Auto Group, Northeast Ohio and Western’s Pennsylvania’s premier automotive sales and service leader, continued a long standing tradition of investing back into the local community in 2012 through corporate sponsorships, charitable contributions, and civic participation with over 20 regional Chambers of Commerce.
“The Montrose Auto Group is proud to be responsible community partners and continued to serve as the Official Auto Group for the athletic departments of two prominent local universities, the University of Akron and Kent State University,” stated Montrose CEO and President Michael W. Thompson. “These communities have been our home since 1983 and we recognize the impact that both of these institutions have on our area.”
Thompson, who started the group with a single Ford franchise in Fairlawn, has since grown the auto group to feature 12 manufacturer brands at 12 locations throughout Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
The Montrose Auto Group is proud to support the universities in Akron and Kent, along with many other worthwhile neighboring causes including Akron Children’s Hospital, the Salvation Army, the United Way of Mercer County, the Michael T. George Foundation for Welcome House, and the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank.
Since 1983, the Montrose Auto Group has invested over $5 million back into the Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania communities.
